The XT1200Z Super Tenere can do the tightest of single trails and hill climbs/decents as good as any other big dual sport - And better than some that have cylinders sticking out the side :)).
Dont let anyone tell you different.

We had another great ride today, one of the highlights of which was me shoving a stick clean through my bottom lip, but that's another story that can be read here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=16201462&postcount=1739

Anyway, I (and a mate on the KTM 640Adv) took a heep of video footage today and we plan on getting heaps more with each ride out.
The only problem is, I suck at video editing... :'( Wouldnt have a clue where to start and dont even know if I have the right software.....
Horrible video and audio quality, but you get the story.
HELP ME GrahamD!!!

This vid will have do do for now but I do plan on working out how to nail this stuff.
In the meantime - Enjoy... I did >:D

Greg.

Great video Greg, thanks for sharing! That was fun to watch, I'm very pleased to see that bike able to navigate the tight stuff.

That was great Wasp. Just curious, is that with ABS and TC off? I saw a little wheel spin, but not a whole lot.

Yep, ABS and TSC off...
You can do all of this type riding with both switched on, it's just more fun and easier to set the rear up for a corner if you can slide it in.
This vid is probably a reasonable example of exactly that. I am very hard on front brakes, but you will see on a lot of the corners I get on the back a bit harder to swing it around and give me the right attitude for the exit.
There is actually a lot of wheel spin on acceleration but rear tire is just about shot now so it tends to lay the roost out very low and flat, thankfully for the mate behind me.
You will understand just how nice these things are to ride in the dirt when they show up on your soil.
There is certainly something to be said about the way that big bang engine lays down the power, from crawling up the steepest of hills with minimal wheel spin, or idling along trials bike style, to spinning like an LSD crazed hippie at Woodstock when you nail the loud grip.
BIG FUN that you guys (anyone who rides it actually) are gonna love.. 8)

Greg.

Edit: Sorry, I just remembered... Some of our demographic was at Woodstock :-[ Not making judgment here - I too remember the room spinning on a few occasions ;D

Greg, perhaps you haven't heard. The Tenere is capable of being ridden on occasional fire roads, no single track. :)

Nice area for biking that. Looks like it'd be good for hunting too :)
