I wanted to do the same but was unable to determine who the moderators are. How can I find them?

Moderators are myself, Rem, and Swagger, and Venture is the owner/admin. Of course I may have missed someone too...

Thank you sir.

When the inmates here did not agree with Dallara's opinions he would retaliate with verbal abuse and by belittling them.
Such behavior has no place here, or anywhere for that matter. I regret that it went on as long as it did. Many here were offended and some left the forum. Sad really.

They're all listed on the home page, down the right side. May need to open a drop down.

noun: moderator; plural noun: moderators
1. an arbitrator or mediator.

2. a person who moderates an Internet forum or online discussion.

3. Physics: a substance used in a nuclear reactor to retard neutrons.

How about if # 3 read... a person used to neuter retards! ::013::

No, we don't want violence here nor do we want abuse, belittling, and personal attacks.

My thanks to the moderators for making this a safe play ground! ::008::

Hey Guys, I just want to drop in and offer some insights.

We have an amazing community here, and what always amazes me about amazing online communities is how they very closely resemble real life. In real life there will be friendships, as well as conflicts. Conflicts are unavoidable, the key is minimizing them for the greater common good.

We have always had conflict here, but overwhelmingly we are friendly. My direction for this forum has always been to let things run their natural course as much as possible before trying to moderate, but there are of course times when moderation needs to occur. The staff here does our very best to exercise the best judgement we can, and when needed not everybody will agree on the course taken. We do not take sides or play favorites. We are always trying and doing our best to keep this community friendly, that is our only intent when moderation does occur.

I have never banned a single member. EVER. Anybody who is not posting here is doing so of their own accord. The fact that I can say we've never banned anybody is really a testament to the good nature and will of the members here. I implore that every one of us continue that good will and nature towards others. So please, keep things friendly and constructive to the highest degree possible.

If anybody has any questions, please PM me directly and I'll be happy to give my insights.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris, thanks for posting here. I have only recently taken on the moderator job here, but have been here since before the bike was available in the US, and I really enjoy the sense of community we have. That said, my philosophy for moderation has always been to exercise the power as little as possible, as most threads will drift, there will be disagreements, and sometimes someone posts something outrageous that sparks another debate. As long as we are civil to one another and act as adults, then I don't think the moderators need to step in. However, that doesn't mean we won't step in when necessary. So feel free to disagree, debate, become friends, or not, give technical advice, moral support and a pat on the back when it's warranted, and most importantly, get out and ride.

Chris, certainty there are conflicts, and disagreements are going to occur in any community. BUT, I do not think it appropriate for any member to abuse, intimidate, belittle, or attacks other member of this community. I know of several good people who no longer play here because of Dallara. To me it seems more should have been done by the moderators to "keep this community friendly".

And that's what you're doing ??? Keeping the place friendly? This soon to be retired moderator has suggested many, many times that keeping "this community friendly" is up to all of us. And I have also suggested many, many times that if you want to engage in dissing each other, you should take it off the forum and go at each other privately. But here you are still ….. this is exactly why I don't want to do this anymore. I'm weary of it. Dallara just "advised" me that he's coming back to defend himself. So much for a friendly place.

Chris, Bryan, best of luck to you. I'm done with it. Let's be careful out there. R

I think you are absolutely correct with this.

As to a defense? Good luck... Perhaps a forum wide apology would be more in order, but I ain't holding my breath...
