I filled out their request page, got this response;

Hi,
Thanks for asking, There is no plans yet to make seat yet. You can go to our feedback and write a note saying that you would like one (Hmm I thought that's what I was doing by filling in your form?). You can also keep checking our freebie page to see if we have plans yet. If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you. :)

So I guess if we want Corbin to do anything - we need to keep hammering them! I know there are other seats as good but I've liked them so much on my Strom and Concours that I feel like it would be risky getting anything else!

Corbin as usual working in the dark ages

i bet you can order a seat for an 81 maxim

when i was looking at seats for my wing i went to the corbin store in daytona, looked cool enough and had a bunch of sales guys, i said i want to llok at seats for a gold wing, guy tells me "we don't keep seats here you order it and we ship it to you" and i couldn't believe it, this fantastic looking store on a main drag and they stock nothing!

then we went over to the ultimate seat company store which was at that chrome and posers mall near the harley dealer, they had seats you could sit on in the store, i told the guy what i wanted and he asks me are you on the bike and how long are you in town? i said yes and tomorrow so he tells me to bring my bike round back and he will fit a seat i can ride around on for the next 24 hours,

after 20 mins on that seat he wasn't getting it back and they shipped my old seat to my home (it got there before me) now that's customer service! i wonder if ultimate would be interested in making a tenere seat ::008::

I just fired off another email to my contact down there. Let's see if we can get to the bottom of this. ::010::

Gotta love it when the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand! ::005::

Everyone should just stop contacting Corbin about donating their Super T.

They have a Super Tenere and if anybody has already guessed, they have mine.
I contacted them shortly after making a deposit last year! Yeah Baby! O:)

I believe they are nearly done with the base plate for the seat.

So in the coming days/weeks the Super Tenere World can order their custom Corbin seat. ::017::

Yep, Joni just emailed me back.........

Hi Phil,

I'm so sorry. Unfortunately, someone from our sales team gave Trevor some incorrect information.

We have the Yamaha Super Tenere here on site and we are currently making several products for it. I will ask R & D to find out exactly what we are making and I will get back to you a.s.a.p.

Thank you for your interest.

Joni
Followed right on its heels with..........

Hi Phil,

This is what I've found out. We are making a front and rear seat, a smuggler and possibly a new fairing.

I hope this information helps.

Joni
JJMoto, I knew they had yours. They will take great care of your bike. It's a nice thing they do with this program to get mock ups if you can get in on it. As I said, my wife's F800ST was the mock up bike for that model and all things Corbin.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product!!!!

I will be ordering the rider's seat + the SMUGGLER if they do one for the ST!!! I had a SMUGGLER on FJR and on my BMW K1300GT!

My last 6 bikes have had Corbins and I really like them!

Oh well, better start saving since the seat + SMUGGLER = > $1200!

Best Regards,

TCR

I have no idea what is this "smuggler". The only smuggler I'm familiar with that has anything to do with something you sit on, is this (from Australia);

budgie smugglers
Any item of male bathing costume or underwear that encloses the wearer's genitalia in a manner that resembles the concealment of a budgerigar.

"Mate, I was shitting bricks. I think I need a clean pair of budgie smugglers."

The Prime Minister was relaxing on the beach in his budgie smugglers.

" I swear I will break something if I see David Hasselhoff running around in his stupid budgie smugglers one more time."

Here is what a Smuggler is to Corbin.
Only on the Super T it will be 10 times better then the ugly DucStrada.

From another thread -
First drawing of the Super T and the Corbin Smuggler bag.

Ugh... I can see something like that on a sport bike, but on a Super Tenere why wouldn't you just use a top box? Cheaper and bigger. For me, the last thing I'll be worrying about is spoiling the "clean lines" of the bike (coming off a V-Strom, I gave up caring about that kind of thing long ago! :D)

+1. I want a square-shaped box can actually hold something. My S10 isn't for making a fashion statement with some curvy-shaped box that holds next to nothing. To each his own though. Seems as though some people are attacking their farkling as if they have a sport bike or cruiser.... Who woulda thought we'd get that mindset from US of A riders? :D
Corbin Smugglers on the rear and Russel Day Long Saddles...not my choice for this bike, but I suppose you can chalk it up to different taste.
