The Lake District

I never venture near the "Lake District" during the normal biking season and leave it until this time of year to venture forth, Not any more! that's me finished! the place today was poluted with people, cars crawling along narrow roads, and parked everywhere, grass verges etc, the fookers cant drive to save themselves! what we forgot was the schools are still on holiday and they all left suburbia cos they got sick of tripping over each other to come to the lakes wiith their offspring to do the same thing, but with a change of scenery

Trouble is 'the Lakes' are now a popular all year round tourist attraction. I totally avoid it in the summer months and weekends. I tend to venture up mid week, the same with north Wales.
