Familiar with a Cheetah? For folks that are not car people: These are Ford Cobras. In todays terms, these are basically a Mazda Miata with 500-700Hp. The average person has no clue what 500-700Hp can do or experienced something with that much power. To put this into perspective your average Honda Civic probably has 125-140Hp. Your expensive cars might have 300Hp and weigh 3-4 times as much as this car. This Cobra was like a jet engine installed in a sardine can. LOL

That was my buddys Norge. I was following him thru the twistys and he slowed and was looking at his rear wheel. Funny how it penetrated. That's one of those where you don't even waste the time to pull the object out, you just throw the wheel on the changer.
I don't know . . . . still recognizable as a Cobra. . . . to me anyway. I always suspected that this version was the inspiration for the 240Z, and possible the Opel GT. I didn't find out/learn about the Cheetah until much later in life.
That is both beautiful and nuts!A project for the Winter months

I'm fairly sure that's Gary Larson (there are a few copycats...), but your post brought G Baxter to my attention, so it's all good !Glen Baxter. Legend.
I got very annoyed reading the misty-eyed recollection of this car's designer about his "creative process", that never mentioned the Cheetah !Familiar with a Cheetah?
