The story goes that Danny Magoo Chandler crashed on a steep up hill track and could not restart from that point because the hill was so steep. I can see that track in my mind but I can not remember the name of the track. Any way he went back down the hill turned around to restart. At the end of the race the AMA penalized him for going backward on the track. then next week in protest he had such a big lead that on the last lap of the race he turned around and rode the bike sitting on it backwards for the whole lap. When my kids were little I used to ride my bike backwards to watch them but it was in a field not a race track during a race! Impressive. Magoo.jpg

Haven’t seen one of those for years and years! They used to be a top end lid back in the 70s. Do you know if they’re still about….the retro scene would snap them up.
the one paddy got on, on the cement mixer is from 1979, your right i had one new in i think 1980-81

I can tell it's springtime. The crawdads are coming out of hibernation. The first picture doesn't really convey the size of the mound. The protective mud around the hole is about 4-5" high. The other two holes are beside the weed wacker for reference. These things are more like baby lobsters than run of the mill crawdads.
