The Hub is NOT in a dry county. There is a brand new liquor store at the junction of highway 206 and highway 7 about a mile north of the Hub. There is also a new gas station at the same intersection. White Oak sells beer too at the same junction. It is a happening intersection in a remote area :)

Alright!

Now that the main priorities are straight, we need volunteers on little bikes willing to risk life, limb, and freedom finding out just how "No Trespassing" some places in the area are. :D

Also, something like 30 days left if you want a t-shirt included in your registration. Getting closer boys and girls.

The Hub can't sell alcohol but they have a cooler with beer and ice and take tips in the tip jar. I usually buy a 12 pack and make a donation. I just let Randal know I'm making a deposit in case he sees me pull out a few without paying. I've never drank all 12 in a weekend.

They have a few old coolers you can use and an ice machine for your beer. It works better if a few share a cooler as they are pretty large. Really laid back place.

I understand after all the miles you are going to stack up before we meet up in Arkansas.
You have entirely too much vacation. ;D

Ok, I have finally set my work schedule for Oct. and I just registered for the event, Wooot, Wooot. Couldn't make it last year but really looking forward tearing it up in Arkansas. Would love to win one of those great giveaways, maybe a new set of panniers ;)

What is the average temp at night in that area in late October?
I'm planning on camping and need to know if I should bring my heater strapped to the back of the Tenere

If history is any indicator, which we'll have to see, it should be damn near perfect. At least a 30* bag with a holofil liner, or maybe a 15* bag would be perfect. I pack some spare expandable dryer vent and just hook it up to my S10's exhaust for heat. Efficiency at it's best!

If you plan to ride part of the TAT (Trans American Trail) during the week of the Rally, I will have a cooler stocked with non-adult beverages at the TAT Shak just for Super Tenere' Rally riders. So if you need a break mid-ride feel free to stop in and partake. Also if you encounter a bike problem and you can limp to the Shak I have several sets of used tires, a little oil and some overhead cover for you and your bike. The TAT Shak is approximately 50 miles/two hours east of the Oark Cafe' .

For more info about the TAT Shak go to: http://www.tat-shak.com/

Last time I stayed at the Hub there was beer at the gas station just a couple miles or so up the road.
There is now a new gas station and separate liquor store less than two miles north of the Hub on hw 7
