Do your wood papers fold up and get strapped to your bikes, or do They get hauled UN the truck for your adventure rides. ^-^

Those pics are the luxury of having our own up north getaway to ride to on occasion, which also keeps the wife happy. Pics are an example of how nice the hammocks are that Tom Hennessy perfected.
Rest assured, that the norm I have used this tent comes standard with a dirt floor :)

Just bought a Big Agnes Big House 4. I'm at work but my son called and said it showed up today. Asked me if he could set it up in the backyard and eep in it tonight. I told him as long as he sends pics. If he does I will post them up tonight.

Since weight is not an issue I go with a 3P to make sure I have plenty of room to move around in, store gear, spread out etc. I also got a tent with a large vestibule so I can cook, store wet gear etc when the weather sucks. Another thing I learned that I wish I had is that I wish my tent could be put away zipped up so when I set it up when it raining the interior isn't soaked. Tents with a lot of netting is great for ventilation but they are impossible to keep dry during setup. Now I bring a towel for those days but it would be nice if I didn't have to.

I have a 4 person Glacier's Edge I got for $40 to get started. That was about 8 years ago. It is a little big for packing, but that's what rok straps are for. Plenty of room to keep my crap in and I could sit on a chair inside in the rain if I wanted. Keeps nice and dry. Takes me about 10 leisurely minutes to put it up while drinking a beer.

Looks like this -

Top opens completely up close up all the mesh for them cold nights this tent has a great deal of room inside for one person and gear.

Photos are not my tent but the same as I bought.

That is a great looking tent
Where did you get it?
Craigslist.

Had to do a little cleaning to it and give the floor a re-Seal, Gear Aid Tent Sure.
The tent came out nice.

I am thinking on starting a thread on how to take care of your tent and how to save a dieing one.
Amazing how some people can spend $400.00 or more and not take care of gear.
#1 tent killer?
Dirt, water and packing it before it's dry! This is like Kryptonite to Superman with a tent.

Now I need to see if my Klymit V-Luxe mat fits the narrow end.
I am thinking Colorado this week to try it out.

I am thinking about it.

Just remember clean it off dry it and then roll it don't jam it in the stuff sack like a bunch of old rags.
Big misconception about putting folds and creases in the same location over time, I put it back the same as when I bought it.
Jamming it like a wad just produces a bunch of tiny creases that over time will De-laminate your PU undercoating.

If you cant clean it dry it do it at the next place you stop, it takes a few minutes to clean and about 30 minutes to dry in the sun, turn the tent body upside down to get the floor.
When it's at home put it in a large mesh laundry sack hang it in the closet to keep air circulating through the fabric pull it out once in awhile.
Ever wonder why when you unload your tent from the tent bag when season comes you pull it apart and it sounds like your tearing the paper off a Christmas present?
It's the Polyurethane breaking down and sticking to itself, this is due to gasses it puts off and no air circulation to breath.
Now add a little dirt to that and maybe you forgot to completely air it out before you packed it last season and now you have a compost pile that will gag a maggot when you take it out!! Black Mold or some like to call it Mildew, never the less your tent is trash.
This too all depends on how bad it is, as it can be cleaned and mildew put to death and refinished but the Mildew stains won't be gone.

Highly recommend eureka mountain pass. Been using the same one for over ten years, wild land fire fighting for weeks at a time and camping on my own also

This past Thursday in Ouray I used my Eureka ICS 2000 One Man Combat Tent.
They have been around for some years now.

So damn easy to setup more like a one and a half person tent to be honest, kept me warm as not as much area to heat up.
It's a little heavy but the pole sections are short enough to pack in a side bag.
I took one of those old pocket warmers put it into a Crown Royal sack and stuck it inside at the foot end of my sleeping bag, and yes i vented the tent at the door a little as you can see it has mesh on the roof as well, this was the Cats Meow.
Mine is used I picked it up for $25.00 in Alamogordo, NM a year or so ago.
Great over night or day to day travel tent as it is quick to set up and take down roll up and pack.

The rear Vestibule has room for a large cargo bag and boots front door has full mesh or zips up with full fabric. back gear access door does not have mesh.

I also recently purchased the Klymit Insulated static V-Lux sleeping mat refurbished for $60.00 by Klymit, I have the non insulated model for summer.
The thing fits perfectly side to side front to back in this tent.

Eureka Spitfire 2, had the solo 1 model & just wasn't quite enough room for extras. The 2 is just fine for me & what gear gets dragged in. Nemo astro pad setup & G.I. ecws 2 stage bag, good for warm or cold temps.

Hard to tell what my tent looks like but at 6'5 I want head room and space. I don't really care about trying to slip in a one man tent. When I sleep I want to be comfortable and not cramped into a micro tent to save 5lbs.

I have a Big Agnes Big House 4 with Vestibule.
