[True Grip]

Most of us in TN live with a few hours of each others. I thought a thread to check for events or rides might be a good idea. Lots of times I hear of something and think I wished I knew that was going on only to miss it the next year too. Paris,TN fish fry still haven't been still want to go. I'll start off

Oct. 6th
Centerville,TN lots of stuff happening

National Banana Pudding festival ( not sure the cost but u get to sample lots of different recipes)
Civitan Car show (probably 125 cars antiques, hot rods)
Quilt show ( probably 100 quilts many very old, wife may enjoy this just don't bring bags some may be for sale ::025:
Arts and craft festival on the square.

If any of that appeals to you we would love to have u come visit. If u come to the car show stop by the concessions and say hello.
I plan on having a ride sometime early Nov. I'll post when its a little closer.

These all sound like great events. I am currently recovering from some major surgery, so it will be a bit before I'm back in the saddle. But rest assured as soon as I am able, I have some catching up to do on Rides and Farkling. Hope I can connect with some of you in the near future.

We made it to Hohenwald for Octoberfest. The main street was blocked off for vendors and music and of course food that is awful for you. Small town USA you gotta love it. If you go avoid Summertown Hwy. all the yard sale people are on both sides of the road for miles. Here are a few pics.

Main street Hohenwald. The kids playing on the stage are two sisters and brother on the drums. Very nice voices cute too. The girls anyway the brother was a homer like me.

And lastly the poison i put in my body for lunch

Anyone care to ride to Saturday? The weather is looking great. We could meet on the square in Centerville at 10am. I know lots of backroads mostly smooth chirt maybe eat lunch at the Tin Roof in Coble. We are probably running short on really good riding days. Post up if your interested

Ordinarily I'd be tempted to cruise on over but, after being locked in the truck for a couple of months my wonderful wife and I are gonna have the best weekend ride a couple can have. Two days of perfect weather and no particular place to go...

I am planning to ride some tomorrow as well. Not sure what direction we will go just yet. Im still kind of easing back into it. Getting longer rides in with each trip. Might consider a ride out that way. I'm in Murfreesboro. May ride Sunday as well.

Hey Steve glad you are building your strength back. Looks like great weather this weekend. If you come thru Centerville lots of people like Breeces Cafe on the square. Its a meat and three and homemade pies kind of place. Although that food may not be on your diet anymore. My wife stays on me about my diet. ::002:: Does that sound familar? Youall have a good ride.
If i ride by myself i'll play with the suspension clickers and preload settings. Might see if i can tell a difference. Hope you have good weekend. Mark

Had a great ride around Cannon county and Short Mountain area today. Weather was perfect for some 2 lane twisty and single lane gravel. Gaining strength every day. Getting out like this is the best therapy. Did about 140 miles today and felt great doing it. Me and the new ticker are getting along great so far.

Just a short intro I am over here in Chattanooga Bought my S-10 last week only good day of weather since I bought it was the day I rode it home :-( Hoping to ride new years day but if it's raining I'll take my V-strom instead don't want to dirty it up first ride

Yea i haven't had mine out in a few weeks. I had a nasty cold then the weather got lousy but its TN it will change soon. Is Beas still open? I haven't eat there in 3 or 4 years maybe I need to come pay you a visit. I use to meet a vfr crew there. Gus's in Mason,TN is another good fried chicken place. I have to slip out to eat good wife says something about doctors and health and feeling good Gibberish. Chicken should be fried. Hope you get to ride soon. Mark
