I have been thinking I am the only Super Tenere owner in Northern New Mexico!
Not So!
I have spotted three in the last month one white one in Santa Fe.
So why can't we have a spotted section in the forum, this way we can know who we have seen and if they are on the forum and hook up for rides.
Throwing an idea out on the poker table we did this on the Tiger 1050 forum.. O:)

Re: Tenere Spoted section?

I like the idea ::012::

I just finished a 6000 mile trip from Idaho to Miami and back and spotted a few S10's along the route.

One parked at a motorcycle shop near Anniston, AL
One traveling eastbound on I-70 heading out of Denver area. I was headed west. This one was riding with 3 BMW's I believe.

One or 2 others but can't remember the specifics.

My route took me south through Moab, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Texarkana, Mobile, Appalachicola, then Miami. Back was up past Daytona, Atlanta, St. Louis, KC, Denver over the rockies on I-70, then SLC to home.

Good idea for a forum thread! On Saturday, April 12, I spotted the first and only other Super Ten I have seen in my town besides mine, just a few blocks from my home. It was another one of those fast and handsome blue models. I talked to my dealer afterwards, and the bike did not originate with him. There is one other Yamaha dealer in London - not one I would consider doing business with - so it may have come from that shop, but I would love to find out who the owner is, and if he is on this forum.

Okay - to start, who was on the blue Tenere that I passed on the SW end of the Cherohalla Skyway last Friday (April 25)? I was on a rented Tiger Explorer, which has a beautiful engine and transmission but was one of the most unpleasant handling bikes that I have ever ridden. My buddy was on a white GS behind me.

I like the idea, and from my Monster experience it can be fun.

I dont think it needs a sticky either, we have enough to keep it popping (on the main forum) up I think. The regional forums (as my post demonstrated) just dont get enough traffic.

I saw one in my garage this morning... ::025::

And a whole bunch of them at our Super Tenere Texas Hill Country Ride last month! ;)

I see a white one and a blue one daily. The white one is mine and the blue one belongs to a co-worker. I had mine first.

I've seen a white Tenere in Hermann MO twice. The last time he was riding with a couple of cruisers.

Saw a blue one with silver side cases exiting in Portland, Texas a couple of weeks ago. The license plate read "TENERE".

Saturday morning? That was me working my way down to Woodhull to visit a friend.

Saturday 6/7 saw a blue one pulling into Max BMW in Troy, NY.
