All this talk of Tenere pricing brought back a short conversation I had with a local dealer. Seems in Canada the 2013 Moto Guzzi NTX goes for $16,200 equiped as shown. 2013 Tenere for $16,500 and naked. And so far as I can see the Guzzi is $15.990 US same equip. and the Tenere $13,500 US.
So at this dealer which sells both Moto Guzzi and Yamaha the Guzzi sales are better. Guess which ones center stage and the other off in the corner collecting dust.
Now not about to jump ship here as I owned an nice red 07 Moto Guzzi Breva 1100 for a season. While a very capable highway bike, it wasn't without its issues. Some mechanical, most electrical. The red got changed into Yamaha blue and I've been very pleased.::022::
So, Yamaha, time to price and especially market this bike better I feel. They have a great model here to build on and I hope they get it.
