Hey everybody. I don't have an S10 yet, but after reading all the magazine reviews and drooling over one in the showroom, I've decided that it will be my next bike. I joined this forum to lean more about the bike before I buy one, but before I do, I've got to sell my FJR and my KTM 950. I'm thinking the Tenere will take the place of both.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with aqcuiring your new ride! I bet there's a lot of adventure style roads in Georgia that the Tenere would be a fun bike to have.

When I first purchase my SuperTen, I thought that I would hold on to my FJR because at first glance one would think that they are so different to be complimentary. However, The SuperTen is such a great all arounder that this spring the FJR is going on the market.

Welcome aboard and welcome to the many all ready here that did almost the same as you by selling their two currents bikes to pick up a SuperT (which I did as well).

Good luck!!!

Mike! ::004:: ::014::

Like I been tryin' to tell ya... ::022::
Hey Jim! I finally saw one at the dealer the other day and I think they're still trying to get the drool off of it. Michele actually told today to go ahead and get one, but I don't really need 4 bikes when I can barely affort to keep 3 up. She wants to sell the KTM and keep the FJR, but like you and protondecay, I don't see the FJR sticking around long once the ST arrives. Adventure bikes rule. The KTM has proven that to me lately. The FJR won't hang with it in the twisties and off-road....well, it's no comparison. The problem I have is that my bikes are paid for, and I don't want to make payments on a new one. I'm thinking about waiting a few months until some used ones start hitting the market.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Looking forward to becoming an official member (with a bike), and contributing to this forum.

Glad you are giving the Tenere serious consideration.

She wants to keep the FJR
One ride and Michele will realize that the Tenere is more comfortable than the FJR and when you wick it up on Fort Mtn, she will never look back...pending a top box or other backrest.

Creta has never even mentioned the FJR since it went bye bye.
