Gotcha. Thought he was referring to the speedo hub. I see now it's the wheel/rotor hub. Bummer. That's a complete wheel rebuild.

I would go talk to a local machine shop and ask them for solutions. Easiest is to drill out the mess and tap the hole for the next biggest size bolt. If the bolt goes through the rotor then bring rotor too so they can drill out the hole in the rotor to the appropriate size. I would mark the correct hole prior to going. I have taken motorcycle heads with broken exhaust studs that I thought hopeless and they call me a day later saying all good now.
Good Luck,
TG

Many thanks to all of you
It is the complete hub not the sensor, the replacement hub from Fowlers and Yamaha takes 4 to 6 weeks to deliver, looked at other options like Helicoil but try to drill out the last bit of the bolt seems impossible without destroying the Hub, have ordered the hub guess I will just have to wait and it does mean a total rebuild,

do you think you,ll need a spoke set as well, just wondering if you,ll get all the spokes off without breaking any for the re build

If it was me I'd just send the hub and rim to Hagon in Ilford
They put a new rim and spokes on my Xt660 - seem to remember it being pretty quick and not silly money
