Hey all,

I'm thinking about the Techspec tank grips for my 14 ES. It's got the matte finish, so my concern is the adhesive adhering to the grainy matte finish. Any issues known or anyone with the matte finish having issues?

Thanks!

Jon

So far so good. The strips for the oem pannier don't like the Jesse pebble finish though.

Installed mine last week, no issues. However, Techspec can be slow to ship due to inventory. Bought mine off ebay and it showed 9 available. When I didn't receive a shipping notification after a few days I asked about shipping. The response was they ran out of stock and were working on it.

I bought a set of the Techspec tank grips for my GSXR, and they just never seemed right. The edges always seemed to curl up on two of the three pieces. I emailed the company, asking for ideas to make them stick better, and they sent me a brand new set! Great customer service.

The new set was much thicker than the first set, and works perfectly. The second set is called Snakeskin? The first set, I don't recall, but much thinner material.

Techspec wants your bike hot & in the sun to adhere well. I used blue tape on the one corner while I had it in my heated garage over the winter with no ill effects.
