Say--what are you all liking for tank bags? Right now I'm tossed up between Yamaha's and the Wolfman Rainier. Wunderlich's bag looks nice as well. Basic requirements: high quality, map window, able to take of and use as backpack or shoulder bag, and simple take-off for refueling at gas station while seated. I searched and didn't come up with much. Your varied opinions are appreciated, and thanks in advance!

I have the powered, SW Motech Bags Connection quick release bag, which mounts to an adapter ring on the gas cap. It does everything you said you want, but also is one of the more expensive bags out there. It's a very high quality piece of kit that comes in different sizes. I have the 'City' which is the second to largest, the 'GS' is their largest tank bag. Twisted Throttle sells them if you wanna check'em out. It releases by pulling a spring-loaded pin.

Happy searching 8)

Welcome to the forum! I'm using the OEM Yamaha bag and very pleased with it. The Wolfman looks good too and I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Please post an intro over in the "Member intro" section of the forum.

Thanks,
Rod

Welcome on, Caps02, and yes, please do post under Member Intros, otherwise a bunch of us will miss the fact that you're new to the Forum.

Check out the Bags Connection part of SW-Motech ... they offer a nice variety, including the ones that actually attach to your gas tank ring. I have one and like it very much. Again, ::004:: R. ::022::

I like the Marsee tankbags.....specifically those that use the 'CORONA' quick-disconnect tank ring mounts. A simple 90 degree turn and you are on/off. It uses super-magnets to lock it into place. I have 2 different ones, a 6 and 11 liter that I use on my Tiger. Nice and small, but expandable. Plus no touching the tank. Luckily for me the Ducati mount fits the ST !

+2 on the Bags Connection "City" bag. I had it on my wee strom and just moved it over to the Super T. Well made and the newer evo mounting ring is better than the old style I had...just pushes on and lifts off.

I had a Wolfman Explorer on my KLR and liked it. I got the electrified Bags Connection GS for the ST and I'm very happy with it. I especially like how easy it is to remove/replace at fuel stops.

Hi Folks

I’ve been running my S10 for the last six month with a Bagster tank cover and have tried using the Bagster tank bag from my last bike (Triumph 1050 Sprint) however this bag sits way to low making the zips hard to use. I’m getting funny looks at tollbooths as I fumble around my crotch whilst grinning inanely at the attendant. I’ve searched on line for a Bagster tank bag, which fits the profile of the S10 tank but to no avail. Can anyone recommend a Bagster tank bag for the S10?

Many thanks

+1. I have the electrified tank ring and it's really nice not having to putz around with an external cord. My phone and camera stay happy and charged in there.

I just ordered the Bags Connection "Trip" tank bag with magnetic base and mapcover from Twisted Throttle yesterday (it was on clearance). It is one of the smaller bags out there (4-6 liters) but I think it will be great for phones, sunglasses, and little odds and ends I'm tired of worrying about in my riding jacket pockets when it starts raining heavily. I'll post pics and a review when it arrives.

I'm pleased with this small magnetic tank bag . Carries my lunch to
work daily . Has several interior pockets . Fits shape of tank nicely.
Handle rubbed on tank though so I removed it .

How firm is the bottom of the bag. I was looking at adding a Cortech Ring mounting plate to the bottom instead of using the magnets.
