In 1999 I watched my then 6 yr old daughter take a huge digger on her Suzuki LT80 quad. We were riding the loop trail that comes along the left side of the fence as you enter the park and there are RR ties or telephone poles to separate the trail from the driveway. She was really little and the quad was kind big for her. We dropped into this little gully or wash and as the left front wheel hit the dip and kicked the wheels right turn and that made her pin the throttle with that stupid thumb throttle {that was gone the next week} and the quad lunged forward abruptly. It hit those RR ties and shot into the air flying over the entrance barriers and onto the middle of the inlet road....scared the snot out of me and her, but she hopped up, brushed off, and off we went riding never a tear. Wow was momma mad when she saw all of the bruises. She was one heck of a rider. The minute she rode a wheel bike she takes off out of camp, tears around the little track a lap or and comes skidding back in yelling "DAD I want a bike, how much can we sell my quad for?" She was 8 at the time and had a brand new DRZ110 by the next Saturday and her quad was sold within minutes of her exclamation. She had a new TTR125LE at 11 and a trick new WR250F at 14. Sadly we had to sell our bikes after my bad neck injury at work in 2010 and now she is too busy as a 19 yr old young lady.
