My neighbor/coworker has one. Pretty neat. Like just about any other small bike, much more fun in packs. You need a buddy with one also.

Not a moped in California. Mopeds are limited to 2 hp and the 50cc engine has 4 1/2 I believe :'(

I'm jealous. I knew that Vespa rider was in town for a week. I figured he'd been too swamped for me to catch up with him. Glad you got to see him.

Ha ha Bob - but not a Vespa - a Yamaha! You don't think I would change brands that easily do you? Even on a borrowed scooter... and the model is Vino - what could be better than Yamaha Vino?

You're right Jon, would love to catch up with more people but time is short and wandering outside the confines of the Beltway is pretty much out of the question on the little Yam. Even getting out to Germantown felt like it should have been a weekend trip!

Missing the Tenere badly, she's under a cover in Reading, UK. It's now been determined, with Bob's help, that she has a bent rear subframe, so fixing that is at the top of the list of things to do when I get back. Not from crashes mind you, just from multiple tipovers (which I don't count as crashes). Could have happened as far back as Mexico and I just didn't notice. But now I've found a crack in it, I need to do something about it.

I understand about the short time you have here. I am glad to know you are safe. Welcome back, even if only for a short few days.

Sorry to hear about the frame. I'm sure it's much easier to take care of in Europe, than it would be in South America somewhere. I do wish you all the best as you return to your adventure, and hope you'll still keep us (non-facebookers) update.

Please stay safe.

Jeez Trevor, after a year and some-odd on the road I expected you to be a little more scruffy looking than that. Musta been a good friends wedding to get you all cleaned up like that. ::008::
