I got my S10 in late September and just this month ordered the SW-MOTECH bars and bash plate from Twisted Throttle. I have a Madstad adjustable windsheild bracket inbound and an Eastern Beaver fuse box coming next month.

Here's some pics of my install.

Nice mid-winter day in the 40's.

Tools, thread lock, instructions. All ready to go.

Take off the OEM sliders or whatever they're called.

Take off these 2 bolts (one side at a time!) off too.

On pretty tight. Had to use my hi-tech breaker bar.

Got it from Touratech if I remember...

Old on the top.

Gotta' slather them bolts with thread lock.

Bolts on where the OEM slider thingy was.

Torque all 3 bolts to spec.

Right side all done.

Left was just a little different.

All done. Pretty quick install. I had the same bars on my KLR and they seemed to take much longer.

I haven't researched if this is normal, but the left is a little closer to the side panel than the right.

Total time was about an hour or so. Good stuff in my book. Twisted Throttle (Kev) answered my questions and kept me in the loop as my shipment got caught up in their end of year inventory.

I'll be looking at 'twisties' bash plate install and do that in a couple days.

Thanks for looking.

Great install Mark!

I've done the KLR crashbar install and it is a lot more involved than this one. I'm glad your install notes included Loctite and a torque wrench. These are some of the most important and often overlooked tools in a mechanics toolbox.

Looks great!

I like them way better than the stock Yamaha bars that I have. :-[

Does the spending ever end? :'(
