OK that's the tank bag fitted.

What is it? It's the SW-Motech, Bags Connection, Quick-Lock, City tank bag.

You've gotta do some fettlin' here. The bag needs to be drilled in order to receive the top clamp. This allows the bag to be postioned to suit your preference. I wanted to avoid it being to far forward so as not to obscure the, soon to be had, HDB bar clamp.

I've mounted mine with the connecting ring fixed toward the rear of the bag. I did this to maximise on the useable volume of the bag. The bag sits ~ 15mm above the tank. The way I have fixed the clamp enables the bag to fill out when packed and allows the bag to expand to it's maximum potential. This does means the underside of the bag will end up touching the tank ... it is padded and designed to do so.

The kit is excellent ... you will need a third hand to get the (very short) bolts secured with their locknuts. Bit of a faff but not beyond the wit of man ;)

I'll post the pics in the morning.

I have one on order. It didn't get here by Christmas but the bike is 4 months away. I have a smaller version on my Versys and it is a perfect system

Nice bag, I see one in my future as well.

But more importantly, I have to compliment you on the NRA sticker on your pannier. ;)

I like the position you have the tank bag in.

+1 on the NRA sticker.

I did take note of the Pazzo's, since we discussed that here some time ago, but I did miss the R&G sliders. Nice. I like the tank sticker/protector you have as well.

Jakeboy, nice setup as well with the Pelican cases. Actually, that Strom is really badass overall.

Thanks for the comments, guys! I'm going to do the set up Swagger has on my new S10, (arrrgh it's not here yet). The little Pelican is great for short trips, but doesn't have enough capacity for long journeys. The SW design is a very secure way of mounting a tank bag and is easy on-easy off, for fuel stops and packing away in a pannier or top case for security. I've used magnetic tank bags (have three) or strap downs (have 2), and they all slip around on the tank too much when loaded heavy.

Don't know whether you noticed the Pelican box on the rear fender behind the license plate. That's where I keep my chain adjust tools, tire pressure gage, shop towel and chain lube. Won't be needing that stuff with the S10!! The tire gage can live in my tank bag.

+1 on the NRA sticker! Life Member, here.
