Having trouble locating rider sag and free sag numbers so hoping anyone can help. Installed new TFX 141 shock. In process of setting sag and all that fun stuff. Full travel (free sag) on front I get 195mm, rider sag I get 134mm to make it 61mm sag. 1/3 travel of full 195mm is 65mm. So within ball park. I think...

Rear I measure 322mm free sag wheel off ground. Rider sag I get 249mm, 73mm rider sag. 1/3 travel of 322 is 107. This tells me that I need more sag. Is that right? I have read that sag should be between 50-60mm front and back but my numbers don't match up.

Am I doing these measurement correctly? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

There is an enormous amount of information on the site related to suspension. Here's a really old one I posted quite a while back. Scroll down a bit and you'll find a wealth of info to get you started.

More will chime in very soon and direct you to a bunch of info. Try a search as well.
