JaimeV certainly is at the top of the riding skills food chain. Just shows you what the bike can do. I just spend 10 days in the Utah mountains with my S10 and I can tell you it will do a lot of things most motorcycles won't. The problem with the critics of the S10 is they use wrong comparisons. They compare the S10's off road to MX bikes or bikes designed primarily for off road. The critics compare the highway performance of the S10 to bikes primarily designed for asphalt. If you really want to know how much this bike kicks butt, try a different way to compare.

Compare the S10 to a KLR or MX bike, but not in the off road arena but in the highway arena. No doubt, S10 kicks butt by a long shot.

Now compare S10's off road to a FJR or a Concours 14 or a VFR. Not even close.

After my 10 days in the Utah mountains, I took a quick divert to Las Vegas then back to Phoenix. The S10 smoked on the highway after 10 days of great off-road riding. It's a great bike for those who know what it was designed for.

Sorry, I know that showing these videos I’m looking show off but I’m fed up when people say the S10 couldn’t do off road. I’m only trying to show how well designed is this bike to dirt. Of course it’s not a enduro bike, but it’s a amazing what you can do with such a heavy bike.
The trail bike design must be the most difficult thing to go. If you make it very off road oriented the road riders complain (KTM990) if is very road oriented the off road lovers complain (GS / Triumph1200, etc.).
The S10 has a very good compromise, you can have a freeway long ride and then just go in a dirt road to hell: tell me a better bike to do this... But of course before buying it you must know what kind of bike you want.

JaimeV, you do not come across as showing off. I personally admire your videos and find them entertaining. They also give me something to shoot for skills-wise and affirms that with proper technique and skill, motorcycles can do amazing things. Yes, you do post a lot of things about you and your bike, but that's what this web site is about. You have the writing talent to compose well-written posts of incredible riding skill without coming across as arrogant or bragging. I am sure nearly everyone on this site would agree we thoroughly enjoy your posts and learn much from them. I think you are "King" of both riding skills and farkling

The S10 and GS are niche. Not even everybody that BUYS one understands the design intent. In my opinion, they are still the only 2 bikes that are standing where they are standing.

I had the light-colored Sand pants, they got dirty first time out (though I have to admit, the first stain on them was red wine, not mud or oil!).

Seriously, Rev’it sponsored our group since 2008, great stuff but when I saw the pale grey suits I though that was a bad idea. After 10 days off road they look really dirty but they get clean surprisingly well.

But we drink beer instead red wine in case…. ::003::
