Good afternoon gentlemen,

I just talked to Lendon over at Seat Concepts in California...he's looking for an Super Tenere owner in the Temecula, CA area to help him test out a custom seat he's fabricated for the Super Tenere.

I found out about it from Jim Robbinette....neither of us have any affiliation--just know that there's an opportunity here for one of us to get a free seat.

I already talked to him, not shipping seats--just looking to have some one come over...

Lendon would like to have a rider who would take the seat and ride then give him feedback--just in talking to him I can tell he needs more than someone who just rides the I-5...my words not his--anyone local who does some mixed surface riding who could help him out?

Here's what he said:

"Hey guys,

Seatconcepts is looking for a local rider who has a Super Tenere.
We are developing a seat and need a local rider who can help us in the development.
Help us and get a FREE seat.
Contact me at 951-741-0722

Lendon "

I gave him a call. I'll be doing a Cognoscente rally in a couple of weeks. 1640 miles in 32 hours should give any seat a work out. Checked out the site and not sure that his stuff will do the job for me, but I'm willing to give it a shot. It's only 400 miles, give or take, to his place. ~6 hours is no big deal.

Nice offer from them. There are Tenere's in the area. For me its a 100 mile ride each way that I can't do right now sadly.
I live near Los Angeles airport LAX. Also I like my seat for now. I have not been doing long rides - yet. For sure it is way better than the DL1000 seat I had on my V Strom.
I'll try to re-post in the Regional Area if I can or does a moderator need to do that ...

Are you all still looking for a test rider - ??
It's too late to call tonight and probably can't tomorrow either.
best,

Excellent EricV-!!
I can't even ride 200 miles round trip and your off for a 800 mile ride. I sure wish I had that in me. Let us know if it turns out for you with the seat. That ride would be a perfect trial.
Best,
DT

We'll see how things work out. He may prefer someone more local to him. I have a Cee Bailey's custom seat at the moment, but may have a buyer for that. It's a huge improvement over stock, but not quite what I need for 1000 mile days. If I end up with a stock seat again, Lendon may be my savior for the up coming rally.

If I didn't already have a Renazco seat I would take him up on this offer.

FWIW, I contacted him the first day this was posted and left a message. I never heard back from him. Hopefully someone got in on this and can report their impressions. I ended up riding my recent rally on the stock seat, having sold the Cee Bailey's. 1860 corrected miles in 31 hours. It wasn't as bad as I had feared, but I made frequent adjustments and butt lifts to maintain circulation. I'll still be sending my seat to Russell when I can afford to.
