Unless your current plans are already correct, please post up whether you will or will not plan to attend.

My current thoughts since clearly some want to come regardless:

After a lot of thought and talk with the family, I will be happy to continue to coordinate remotely as much as possible, but won't attend. We have a grand child due a couple of weeks after this and have decided the risk of bringing in something is not acceptable. Sucks but there'll be future events.

If enough people want to keep the event going, the one place people would risk all being together with somebody who could expose us would be Saturday dinner. My thought is to cancel the dinner as an indoor event and try to hold it as an outdoor food line. People can practice their "social spacing" in line.

Being a remote coordinator won't work well when people are on site so there ought to be somebody to replace me and there's really not much to do. Talk to Debbie about the camp ground and hotel, James about the food, and Gunner about shirts then coordinate who pays how much, to whom, and how.

Or just make this a couple nights of camp-ground gathering if the number gets small.

Tupelo went to official shelter in place this morning. I went for a ride early, before I heard about it, but it looks like that will be the last ride for a while.

I'm officially out.

Perhaps some other time.

Was planning to make two trips to Arkansas in April, first one on Goldwing then a week later on Tenere. Well the Goldwing event got cancelled yesterday and I suspect the Tenere event will also get cancelled. I believe this Corona Virus thing is a lot more serious than most of us realized a few weeks ago.

As always, I have great respect for your ability to evaluate a situation and make an thoughtful decision. Retired or not, your career experience will always serve you well.

I'm not ready to pull the plug just yet, but if I'm honest with myself, the odds do appear to be less than 50/50. Getting hard to imagine the world could rocket back to normal quickly enough to allow this event to happen.

The wife and I are out, when we leave Arizona we will head straight for the Canadian border for our 14 day quarantine.

I plan to be there and toss down my tent on any available patch of ground. Given that my daughter's college commencement ceremony has been cancelled (I'm not sure who's more disappointed, her or me), I need something to look forward to.

That sounds like a bad deal.
I'd like to hear all about your travels from last summer, I seen some pictures of you and your wife in Tuk.

Looks like there will be another king bed room for someone to use as I wont be going. I am more afraid of being hit on the road by some pie eyed Prius driver listning to deathmetal who thinks the sky is falling. Will I stay at home in bed in the fetal position NO. If anyone needs this rally its me being stuck here in Minnesota not being able to ride for the last five months because of ice and snow.

I’m trying to stay optimistic. I’m going to hold off canceling until April 1st. With the escalating cases the get together may not be the best idea.

It is worry some to think about medical care 1000+ miles from home. I’ve ridden motorcycles long enough to know that mishaps happen and you do your best to mitigate with gear, and other protection.

Postponing the rally to a later date sounds like our best option.

Perhaps we should regroup & Reschedule for the last half of Sept. It would be pleasant to have something to look forward to. The alternative is watching the cancelations come Piecemeal.

Perhaps a pole is order.
Brilliant idea.

A poll is now up. There's not much difference between the first two options, it's mostly getting somebody else to coordinate.
