Those are the ones! Someone makes them for the Gendarmerie so you'd think they'd be available somewhere?

A French Yamaha dealer parts guy may know.
When I had an FJR I tried to find a set of the foot protectors, even found the manufacturer, and nobody would sell one.

My local dealer showed me on his ordering web site that there was now an '18 FJR LE version. He couldn't bring up the picture. I haven't seen a current model LE FJR picture yet; they're all '12 and older. (still think the Tenere would make the better LE bike; with different bags)

So we have pictures, we must have a French member who could at least chase down the manufacturer?

It'd be great if we do have a French or other Euro member see this and help.

fwiw - I'm US-based and shot the pix of the Dutch bikes (now killed by Photobucket) while on trips. The French bikes I've seen a number of times but the photos were just copied off a quick Google search.

I grabbed a few pictures of the FJR police bike at the 2017 Progressive IMS in Dallas last year.

I also ran into a local cop at my favorite bike shop. He was very interested in the Super T, so I let him take it for a spin. He thought it would make an excellent police bike.

If there are after market bags for the Tenere, with latches like the FJR or ST1300, hands down best LE bike. The FJR would make a great LE bike, if they could lighten up the slow speed steering; high speed handling is phenomenal. Yamaha must see an opportunity for the LE niche in the US since the departure of the ST1300; very good LE bike. Yamaha's previous stance was that the US was too litigious for them to be interested in our market.
