Just called my insurance company to insure the Tenere. Ouch! Progressive quoted me $962 for a one-year premium. Is this the norm? Is the S10 is some strange category that makes it so expensive?
I didn't pay that kind of insurance when I had the VFR or the FJR. I'm insuring 4 other bikes with them for a total premium of $751 per year. Even my insurance agent couldn't understand why it was so high.

I pay about $1200 a year on my '14. I live in Anaheim CA. It's my first roadbike and I have a speeding ticket that's still on record back in OR.

It varies where you live, age and driving record.

Check with whoever insures your house to bundle it and your vehicles. I don't remember the number, but it brought my bike policy way down.

This has come up enough times here you can read the previous threads for more ideas and what others are paying.

SafeCo = $482. annual, full, CA through a good agent. Finding a good agent helps I found out. Just going on Progressive or something and you'll get dinged.
