I have a new handlebar: Protaper Raptor.
When I saw it on the bike it looked too high but I tried today and it’s perfect to my size.

Like the bars. Some questions. Are you using any risers? Stock lines ? Do the factory controls and bar ends fit without modification ?

No risers. The bars are higher than stock, enough to me. I have metal lines but the same lengh than OEM so I think the stock could work.
No problem with the controls but i need to modify the bar ends. To fix them and the hand guards I use some enduro fixing things (dont know how you name it in english) that I put inside the bars.

JaimeV thanks for the answers. I know I need some different bars and am just trying to decide.

I used the MSR expanding nut to lock down OEM bar end weights http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/9/192/7278/ITEM/MSR-Replacement-Bar-Ends-for-D-Flector-Handguards.aspx

Hello Jaime.

How is your rear shock doin? Still like it?

And did Mambatec or BM build it for you?
YES!! still working like the first day ::008::

I have the first proto but now they build it for the Super Ten. Great product because my riding is not very soft... >:D

So.. now I can say she is finished.
I needed to do a big lifting after the hard trip in Morocco: clean it, oil it, paint, polish, repair some bits... but she is like new again ::008::

I need to paint the engine and crash bars, they where scratched.... but I like how it looks

Great thread Jaime. It makes me want to leave work right now, go jump on my bike downstairs in the garage, and ride off into adventure.

Do you think ACD still have the parts to modify the skidPlate to allow some room for a 21" ?
Cause thats where I'm heading with the mods .... ::013::
And did you get the info from your mecanic about the oil filter number?

No. I did this modification by myself in a small workshop specialised in aluminium. It cost me a fortune!! :'(
I’m going to ask about the oil filter but the last time hi didn’t wanted to tell me…

Now I see that there is already someone who can continue my work in the Super 10 (you) I can retire
I’m going to start a new project: Yamaha Ténéré 660 Adventure R. ::013::
I think I’m going to sell my Super 10 do you want it? It has a 21” front wheel already >:D

Yes... the bike is finished and I'm getting bored, I need a new project. ;)
I’m dreaming in and adventure solo trip. In my last trip to Morocco I realised the 1200 is too heavy to me if I’m getting stuck so I’m looking for a lighter bike: the Ténéré 660.
My dealer and Yamaha Spain agreed to help me so the bike is in the way… ::012::

My first idea was to keep the Super 10, I love it but I know I don’t have time to ride three bikes and I don’t want to see this lovely beast full of dust in my garage, better someone enjoy it.
I’m not in hurry, next august I’m going to show it in the Ténéré meeting in Bonaluz (Switzerland) and then I hope to find someone who want to have a “unique” bike. ::024::

I would love to have that bike...but shipping to NJ USA would be a deal breaker.
1 really admire your work.
I have a family friend in Madrid who owns bakeries (David Pando) maybe you know him!
