It's this weekend ( 11,12,&13) at Memphis Racetrack. Anyone going? ::008::

I'm not going but we used to go to Memphis every year when we were drag racing motorcycles. Memphis is one of the worst tracks in the U.S. for things getting stolen, if you go, lock your stuff up and be cautious.

Thanks for the info. I would think with all the nice chevys and I will just be there during the daytime, that my bike will be ok. Thinking about staying in West Memphis.

I have been at the track during daytime races when complete rigs, truck, trailer and multiple motorcycles have been stolen.
We usually stayed at Millington, plenty of places to stay and eat and only about 7 miles north of the race track.

Hey bud, I live about 10 miles from the track so I can tell you Lock up your stuff!! I can also tell you that west Memphis is worse then Memphis as far as crime goes I would recommend you stay in Millington which is just north of the track on 51 highway. Much safer than west Memphis. I hope to get out to the show on Sunday.

Thanks for the info. Any recommendations for a place in Millington? Places seem to be filling up.

Well I have never stayed in any but the newest ones are the Hampton, Holliday inn express, and the admiratly inn, stay way from cascades and Alberta's cabins. If you don't find one look at Atoka tn it is about 25 min from the track another 7 mi or so north of Millington both of them are new just make the address is hwy 51 Atoka tn and you will be fine.
