Under overcast sky and with damp roads,I made my way to Highland Valley Rd, then Dye Rd to San Vicente, and Wildcat Canyon towards Lakeside.

From the end of Wildcat Canyon, I joined Lake Jennings Park, and then took 8-E one exit to Dehesa. From Dehesa, I joined Willow Glen to Steele Canyon, to Jamul, where I discovered "Jamuldays" was going on today. There was quite a bit of pedestrian traffic from the stop sign at Jamul & Lyons Valley to the stop sign at Lyons Valley & Skyline TT.

Since I rode Lyons Valley two weeks back, I decided to take Skyline TT today. Something that I'm noticing is that the weather seems to be worse on Skyline TT, compared to Lyons Valley. Must be something about the terrain or something, but it seems like Skyline TT attracts rain and limited visibility much more often than Lyons Valley does. And today was no exception.

Reaching the end of Skyline TT, I continued onto Honey Springs, to 94-E. I took 94 to Cameron Corners, where I saw the only bit of blue sky all day, and got gas. With no reason to loiter there, I quickly got back on my way and took Buckman Springs to Old 80 to Sunrise Highway.

Sunrise Highway was great, and even a bit cold as I rode towards Mt Laguna. Exiting Sunrise, I decided to take 79 through Julian. As I passed through the town of Julian, I had my only experience with "real" rain on the ride today. The roads were wet, and rain was falling pretty steady.

The rain was short lived, and was gone by the time I passed 78 & Pine Hills.

I caught up with a FJ-09 midway between the Santa Ysabel and Old Julian Hwy, and not surprisingly, he too was taking Old Julian. I followed him along Old Julian and Highland Valley, and we split at 15, as I headed north and he headed south.

Home 220 miles later.
