Btw, I pulled the drain plugs the night before just after getting back from a long ride. When I pulled off the filter in the morning, no oil spillage from it at all. ::008::

Does anyone really go 12,000 miles between oil filter changes like the service manual recommends? I thought 6,000 miles was long enough (actually 5K in my case) and changed it at the same time I changed the oil.
I'm not sure what the fuss is about by only changing the filter every second change. Most people don't change their fuel filter every tank full.

They also have an interest in avoiding warranty repairs under the YES plan. ::001::

They also could be gambling that not many owners will clock up 150,000 miles in four years.... >:D
