Collected my bike from the police which was stolen.
On inspecting the bike, i notice two wires poking out of the side. Once connected, this seemed to enable the ignition without activating the clock display.
You could then go right ahead and start the bike. on further inspection I noticed that the wires were cut from the barrel,connection, so i reconnected them and used the key,
The ignition and clocks came on and the bike started,
I thought this was all good! Was pretty chuffed with myself really!!
A couple of days in during sorting out the mess those Light Fingered so and so left, the bike started to blow fuses, 20amp and 7.5amp fuses.
Having gone through quite a few fuses, I finally found the problem. They had also cut another set of wires, this cluster contained six wires, which only one was connected
to what seems like a special device and the two black ground wires connected together. This circuit board has been specially made to bypass the immobilizer. I will post image later.
Anyway, I removed this device, reconnected the wires and switched the ignition on. The clocks did some weird things, like it was doing some diags then settled into its normal format , but now bike won't start
I noticed that i can no longer see T and S Mode options either.
How the device may have worked, they may have hooked up a computer to the ecu and copied certain parameters to that home-made device, so when the ignition is on that device then tricks the ecu.
That's the only I can think of. By removing the device the ecu may not recognize my original immobiliser, that maybe why I have the issue.
Any help on rectifying/ remedying this issue would be greatly appreciated.
