It has been soooooo freekin' cold

and soooooo freekin' snowy

and soooooo icy

I haven't had a ride on 'Sinister' since the middle of November.

Worst winter here in SE Indiana since anyone can remember.

I am having serious withdrawl symptoms.

(*plus I've got my first/flu/cold/thingie which ain't helping AT ALL.*)


Enough bitchin' --- how's everybody else doing..?

Only managed to ride the KTM into work once this week. Had to drive the convertible yesterday to give it a run. Relegated to the sunroof in the Beetle today... and back to 39 on Saturday when I have to ride in and get new tires mounted. Sure is crap here this week.

I took a little ride last Sunday. The temps came up to almost 60, but we're back in a deep freeze again this week. More snow expected Sunday into Monday of next week.

I hear ya! Have had two short rides since 11/15, it sucks! Normal winters I can get out 1-3 times a month depending on how much salt crap is on the roads.

Hi John,
yes its been a long winter and it aint over yet, more of the nasty stuff coming this weekend.
I rode New Years Day and last Sunday, not my normal winter mileage for sure.
Spring, at least on the calendar is not too far away now.
I too am suffering from PMS, parked motorcycle syndrome.

Give me a shout if you make it to Louisville anytime.

I rode 20m to Kersting's Yamaha yesterday. When the air temp indicator reads : 13-12-then LO; does that mean I need to block the radiator with some cardboard to make the defroster work?

I feel your pain guys, wish I could help. Until 11 yrs ago I live in Catskill Mountain are of N. Y. and suffered from November till March.

Yesterday it only got up to about 68 here but I still went for a nice lunch ride.

I rode the tenere and the FZ on the weekend.
rode the FZ yesterday....I had to turn up the heated grips up, and the heated jacket was on as well...


oh, and I just came back from my california trip, which I put on a paltry 3200km in 7 or so days...
