Im in RTW trip, now in Mexico. Noticed that one spoke is missing from rear rim. Riding 2 up with lot of gear, so this can be problem at the future. Is it easy / hard / impossible find new spoke from Mexico? Mailed already to yamaha dealer in Mexico city, but havent got answer..meaby they dont speak english..
If I found new one, I could tight it just listening tone of the spoke?

Just one spoke missing is not that much of a problem. Make sure the other spokes are not lose. Ping each spoke with a screwdriver and if the tone is a sharp ping, then they're fine. If any spoke emits a dull note (like hitting a pan with a knife), then that spoke should be tightened.

Yamaha only sells spokes as a full set. Which spoke? There are two lengths in the rear wheel. (if you know) If you don't know, oh well. PM me with a mailing address and I'll send you a couple, one in each length.

Look a little closer. Those outside spokes are not the same length. They are close enough that they could be used on either side, but they are different. I just opened up a set of S10 rear spokes and here's the difference.

When Yamaha supplied me with a new rear rim and spokes (under warranty :)), there were only two bags with spokes of different length. This was three years ago and my bike is Gen 1 (2013 model).

Yes two bags, but in one bag they are all the same length and in the other bag they are two different lengths. You have to sort through them. I've sold several hundred spokes here on the Tenere Forum, trust me there are three different spokes. I sell them in groups of three marked inside, outside right & outside left. I'll leave it at that.

Thanks for the info. Never thought Yamaha would put two different lengths in one bag!
