Just installed these Touratech 3L (each) extra fuel canisters. Pretty easy to install - a base plate goes on first, then the mounting bracket snaps onto the mounting plate and the canister goes in with the straps holding it tight. The great thing about the Touratech mounting base plate is that they make various mounting plates (bottles, bags, etc) that can snap onto the them so you only have to drill one set of holes in the bags. I have bottle mounts ordered for the front of the OEM bags as well. Found out after I ordered that only a single bottle mount will fit on the front of the left OEM bag as it is pretty narrow on the front due to the exhaust.
BTW - The OEM bolts that came with the mount will not be long enough for the Yamaha OEM bags. Home Depot did not have Stainless Steel Metric so I used Stainless steel #8-32X1/2" button top (allen head) bolts with #8 SS washers and SS nylon lock nuts.
