Spare clutch lever and shift lever for off road ventures...??

On my old F800gs, I carried the stock shift lever as a spare in case of a get off...(was running the much improved Touratech folding shifter for every day)

But I don't see a folding lever listed for the sophisticated Tenere shifter...

I now carry a small long-nosed vice grip which may double for emergency use as a shift lever...along with the usual safety wire and duct tape, etc.

I've priced OEM clutch levers and shift lever for the Tenere and they are outta sight...

Has anyone found a workable substitute for thes OEM parts? I'd hate to break either out in a remote location...

Holy Moly Steve!
It must be made of solid gold... ::025::
Thanks for the lead, but I have to keep looking for something a bit more reasonable...

Wait a minute, I don't think that will work on the Tenere as there is no point for attachment of the vertical shift rod...

BTW looks like your avatar pic may have been taken on 337...

Got the Twowheels.com replacement levers and they look really nice...
Went ahead and bought stock replacement shift lever and rod from MR cycles..not a bad price and they'll just stay wraped up with my tool kit just in case...
