i'm making a list , waiting on a little cooler weather.... very doable day rides .....

Louie Mueller's in Taylor is open Monday through Saturday, and all day, too, but trust me on this... Get there no later than about 10:30 am for when they open the doors at 11:00am on weekdays, and about 9:15am for when they open at 10:00am on Saturdays - http://www.louiemuellerbarbecue.com/
As with most places that still do everything over real pits with real wood, the best "Q" is the first they bring off when they open!

sorry your last visit to chisolm trail was less than expected. blacks is my least favorite , I think if all the others burned down i'd become a vegan before eating at blacks again...hooked up with carrot a couple weeks ago ,nice guy talented rider . we going to do a few rides as soon as it cools a bit I like the idea of muellers in taylor . do some big loop some where.....
