Did a mini "iron butt" up the South Canol Road to Rose Lake. Rode solo - 450km, 8 hours round trip with one 15 minute stop and a couple of shorter stops for pictures. This is a great dirt road ride, conditions were a ever changing mix of hard pack, ruts, and loose gravel. nearly single lane with lots of blind hills and corners. Saw three cages on the ride, all scarry, abrupt, oncomming interactions. This is very remote country, you do not want to get into trouble out here when alone. Once into the Rose River drainage the scenery is stunning.

You just made the next three weeks drag on forever. Count down has begun. I practiced loading the Wee today because it doesn't sound like the Tenere will be here. I saved most of your pictures to drool over . Thanks for increasing my impatience.
