Welcome on, firedlt. Good stuff with the new bike. Yeah, just ride it. Be reasonable but just have your way with it. I'd change the engine oil and rear gear oil as soon as you get home. Keep us posted. ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

::004:: from Oklahoma. You will love the bike as a road bike. very comfortable and a joy to ride. The great fun will begin when you get it off the pavement. Ride it for sure. It handles like a dream..... ::26::

I will post pics and to the Western WA rider thanks and if you ever get to the East side I know some great roads >:D. Hopefully maybe we can all meet some day on a ride. My other rides are WR 450F and DR650 I currently use a s a commuter which the ST will replace and I just sold my CBR 1100XX.

I rode my '12 from Houston to Ft Worth one day (in the rain) and back to Houston the next day for my 600-mile service, less than 30 hours off the showroom floor. The third day left for what ended up being a 37-day, 11,000 mile trip to Alaska, Inuvik, and the first ever North American Super Tenere Gathering in Whitehorse. See you in Ouray near the end of June...oh, and definitely ride the bike home!

Thanks I wish I could go to ouray but unfortunately will be in San Fran that week for work related class Hoep to catch the next one. Did you ship tires to Alaska? I know others have done the trip and found dealers up there to ship tires to to save some $

No, bought a set of K60s at Yukon Yamaha for about the price of tires here + shipping. Like you said, catch ya at the next one!
