Some camp gear I find useful:

NOTE: These are links to manufacturer’s websites. Retailers will do better on pricing.

Stove: Small Trangia w/ Clikstand - lil’ fiddle factor stove w/ soul http://www.clikstand.com/

Cookset: Glacier Stainless - cannot be beat, Cookset MD (just the little pot on the bike) and 1 Qt. kettle http://www.gsioutdoors.com/technology/detail/glacier_stainless/

Other gear:

Pak Tap – Durable water mule, mine is going on 3 seasons. I consider it a necessity.

Squishy Cup and Bowl - not for everyone, but packs sooo well

Felco 6” saw – not a hatchet, but it packs a helluva lot better

Pocket Shower – an accessory to be sure, but when bush camping it provides a good douche that beats crawling in the creek b/c you can heat some water

What other camping gear gems are hiding out there???
I have crammed a considerable amount of gear on trips using Space bags, they work OK don't last forever but I have shrunk down sleeping bags pillow, tent, cloths and jackets down into on 90 liter duffel bag with cooking gear.

For a compact camping towel, go to the automotive section of Walmart and get a PVA drying towel for about $6. Keep it rolled in a small zip lock bag to keep it damp and pliable. It takes about 2" diameter x 6" long to pack, maybe less. This is my wash cloth and drying towel all in one. One pass over wet skin and you are dry. Never molds nor smells funky when stored properly. Use as a washcloth to keep it freshened up, rinse well and use it to dry. This saves more space than any other item I use.

In the Walmart camping section, they sell fanny packs for $6.88. Cut off the belt and use the packs for individual storage units to keep small items organized. I keep one for general road items such as: map magnifier with light, snack bars, aspirins, USB cables, coffee, headlamp, batteries and so much more. Another one contains my entire shower kit including the PVA towel, soaps, toothbrush and more.

Walmart camping section also has packages of 3 stuff sacks. Makes packing clothes, liners and other items easier. Poke a couple small holes near the bottom and you can compress them better although you do lose the waterproofness.

For cooking, I like my Jetboil Zip - minimal space with extremely fast results. Coffee in under 3 minutes with coffee teabags. Easy to cook Ramen noodles, too.

TreeMuncher are you talking about those blue microfiber towels from Wally World auto? Yep, that's what I use and the 3-pack of stuff sacks too. Good functional camping gear!
