I just removed these from my 2014 and they're in great shape, seats look like new. A tiny bit of foam stuck to the pans when I removed them but hardly worth mention, a few pea sized bits. My wife misses the Russell we had on our last bike so these are moving on...$150.

I presume that you pulled the staples and yanked the pan out. then these only need to be stapled to another pan.

Yes jwhuls, exactly that, I removed the staples and pulled them from the pans. These were installed by Seat Concepts and they used very light gauge staples, similar to what you might see in a typical desk stapler and they came out easy.
