SOLD - Penske 8983 + Extra Spring For Sale

I've got a very lightly used (half season, maybe 2500 miles) Penske 8983 shock for sale. It's sprung with an 850lb Hypercoil spring right now, but also am including a 750lb Eibach as well for when I rode solo.


You'll get the manual, datasheet for this shock, the two springs, preload adjustment tool, and the clamps/mounts to hold it to the subframe. See pics.


I don't think you'll get a better product for the price I'm asking. This is a fantastic unit and one of the best things about it is how easy it is to swap springs along with the greatly enhanced ride. I've got a write-up on how to swap springs here on the forum...

The 750lb spring would be your golden ticket, then. This shock is such a night and day difference over stock, plus if you ever do tour two-up with luggage you would have the option of the 850 to drop in. Easy 45 minutes to swap springs and you're done, no spring compressor needed.

This is a STEAL for a Penske double clicker. $650 would be an awesome deal, with the "pack rat" spring included this is just ridiculous!

And reason I'm selling, I missed that part, is I'm going for hydraulic preload. Not that it's inconvenient, but for lack of a better word, it's just not as convenient for the weight variations I ride with. Note: that's why I"m including a 750 & 850 spring...should have a huge weight range to accommodate for whoever gets it.

Thanks for the plug, avc. Nick at stoltec moto is one of the best vendors working for our S10 market. Hardest part of it is losing that support, but I still have him for my front forks. ::008:: That guy bends over backwards for people...
