Up for sale is a "well loved" but complete AltRider Skid plate (skidplate?) for Yamaha Super Tenere. It came off of my 2015 (2nd Gen) and will fit all STs. All hardware is included. I am the second owner.

This skidplate has bounced off of rocks / objects many times. It has been hammered back "into shape" and repainted before, and needs it again now. There was slight rubbing with the kickstand before I took it off my bike but was minor enough that I had just ignored it... I knew it needed some "hammer work" after some pretty solid boulder hits. I believe some of the hardware was replaced by the PO but it is all complete and functional. Original mounting instructions are here.

Selling cheap - $85 plus shipping. Be aware that shipping these days is expensive. Shipped from 24060 in a 18 x 22 x 13 box that weighs 12 pounds. You pay retail shipping from your choice of carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx) or send me your prepaid label. PayPal for payment. Shipping within USA only. Local pickup OK.

people don't like scratched up used stuff . it's a great deal for 85 dollars... for those who buy a new Tenere ( 2023 Tenere are out there ) this would be a great deal , not much market support for the Tenere anymore.

Alt rider *is* good stuff. I have several of their other products and as shown I've put this skid plate to the test. But I picked up an ACD which is stronger/ better. This alt rider is fine for mild and even moderate off roading but I apparently don't have any common sense as to the trails I ride or the lines I pick so I went with extra protection.

Hey, you are just on the other side of the state, right? Could be convinced to meet you in the middle. :)
And full disclosure: I had a "box emergency" and had to steal the box I was going to ship this in. I need to source another box.

I just picked up a’17 S10 in preparation for Alaska next year…. Hmmmm this might work for me
Buy it. You won't regret it.
I had that same exact Altrider Skid Plate on my Tenere (sold the bike).
It protected the motor and oil filter while I rode the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route from all the rocks, (and there were a lot of huge rocks) sticks and debris that I ran over or what the front tire threw at the the motor or oil filter.

I was so impressed with it that I contacted Altrider and thanked them for their craftsmanship.

I think it’s beautiful. Send it back to Oregon? How many bolts do you have to touch to get thru an oil change?

Good morning,
I don't recall the bolt count for removal. Six maybe? I'm OK with removing a skid plate at oil change time... gives me the opportunity to inspect the bottom of the motor for fluid leaks, etc. Also a good time to inspect the skid plate itself and hammer or paint it.

Also, will switching to arrow headers cause any mounting complications for either of these new to me farkles?
No personal experience, but I searched here and found:
My 2013 has absolutely no conflict between my Arrow headers and my Altrider skid plate. I may have answered that question on Facebook, too.
