For pavement riding, Hwy 281, its on of my favorite new roads in the area. Go to Sylva and take 107 south to 281, follow 281 to Lake Toxaway. The middle section of 281 has only been paved a few years so some people are not familiar with this road.
Some nice scenery and a great mix of riding, some tight technical stuff, some big sweepers, plenty of elevation changes.

Thanks Bob! I'll check it out. By the way, I'm really digging the A3's you put put on for me. I just think about turning and they comply!

1) Find Hwy 32. Fantastic asphalt. No crowds like the Dragon.
2) Also, Parsons Branch Road, of course - off of Cades Cove.
3) Find the FS road up to Buzzard's Roost. Forget the number, but what a view. Look for he tree with the red "X".

2nd all of that! Buzzard's Roost is off of FS 288 (Harmon Den Rd.) Here is a pic from last September. Please procede with caution!

Rode 32 south (amazing Tarmac) and kept going when it turned to gravel (awesome). Hit 281 and just finished off with the dragon. A lot of people NOT maintaining their lane on the dragon, though.

All in all a great two days and thanks for the suggestions...great roads!
