I checked into a hotel in Green River, UT and was warned by the locals of bike theifs and vandalizers. So my tenere is cozy in my room with me tonight. First time for everything I guess. Lol

Yup, both my bike and 357 are right next to me. ::026::eemsreno said:That's why I like camping, The bike is right next to me all night.
Speaking of bears. Last week while riding on 2 separate occasions , I encountered a sow and 2 cubs in the middle of the road and a yearling running down the road in front of me for about a half mile. Black bear top speed was 22 mph! ::001::japako said:Yeppers, and so are the bears...
Likely the first for a Tenere - but not for a mc in someone's motel room. I've stayed at places before where some of the Harley folks have brought their bikes into the room with them. I wonder how the motel owners appreciate the oil stains on the carpet!!Venture said:::026::
This could be a first, at least first I've heard.
Good thing about bears is they generally do not steal or vandalize motorsyckles ::26::japako said:Yeppers, and so are the bears...
When I'm forced to take a motel room, I'll find one where I can park the bike right outside the motel room door and sleep with the window cracked open. If I can't do that, I'll try and park in the front and ask the motel people to keep an eye on it. FWIW, I've never had anyone mess with any of my bikes, but when on a trip, I'm usually out in the country or parking in small towns, parks, forests, etc. and the bike is in plain view.adventorider76 said:I checked into a hotel in Green River, UT and was warned by the locals of bike theifs and vandalizers.
