Dammit man! its too early to go and take pictures in the garage.... Yes lots of clearance between the motor and skid plate. it is very tight around the cat. converter though.
I had to shim my plate down a bit to make room. Ended up tapping some fat ass quarter inch washers.
jcoop... the front mounts to the motor.

greg... do you have Aftermarket or Stock headers?

stock header, aftermarket slip on.
The plate that I received was too tight against the cat.
I ended up using some enormous washers (2" od I think they were, and about 3/8" thick) drilled and tapped them, to shim them away from the ACD bracket.
that and the studs, got to have studs.

I have the ACD bash plate. It mounted easily after I replaced the front bolts with studs (highly recommended, the bolts are fine threaded and easily cross thread when trying to bolt bash plate, altrider crash guards, and the engine mount plate with various washers at once, DAMHIKT). I have clearance everywhere for the exhaust system. The foam clears the engine with plenty of room for the bash plate to flex during hits.

I remove 4 nuts to remove the ACD bash plate for an oil change. Very quick and easy.

I just had a front end crash into a stopped van. The ACD plate saved my engine from the tire rim. The tire rim inherited the shape of the oil filter protrusion on the ACD bash plate. The engine runs fine. Bike wasn't totaled. I'm happy about that. A friend of the family had to work the plate over with a hydraulic press to get it to fit well again. It does, and doesn't even look the worse for wear.

What a bike!!!
