SKB top case: $60 and 15 minutes time. Super happy with this.

First mod since I bought it: SKB top case.

Cost: $60. (Not including the ABUS padlock which I had already).

Case: SKB 3I-1309-6B-E Mil-Std Waterproof Case

I decided to mount this up using 1/4" clevis pins instead of screws, these clevis pins can be removed/installed with zero tools and they can never vibrate or wiggle loose. The fit is perfect and the case is rock solid. I'm eventually going to mount similar side cases, I just have to figure out the rack options for bolting the cases onto. Once I order it, a thin layer of eva foam will go into the bottom to prevent direct contact with the pins.

Why SKB, instead of Pelican? Just because I wanted a very specific size, and Pelican doesn't make that size, but SKB did. SKB has the same mil-spec ratings and is also made in the USA.

Your photos are so big they are lost. Please re-size them smaller next time.

Nice job. Pelican cases are also sold under the Hardigg brand and offer sizes not offered under the Pelican name.

Don't load that up too much. The oem rack is only rated for something around <18 lbs.

I tested this with three browsers and tapatalk, and all of them automatically scaled the images.

What browser/app are you using?

I was at an industry trade show this past week, and Pelican has a new "Air" line of cases, which as the name implies, are lighter in weight. I plan on changing over my tech kit (currently housed in a 1560 case) to the equivalent Air model when I can. I don't know if they have an equivalent for every size in the range, but it would be worth checking out.

Yup. I speccd the air cases and they look great for the side cases. They just didnt make the size i wanted in the air series for the top case.
