I have just changed my Super Tenere for a later model. As part of the deal they transferred all my farkles from my old bike to new.

At present I have Givi S310 halogen spots mounted on my crash bars which were transferred to the new bike. They have now been on 4 Super Tens and about 80k miles and are a bit tired. They have been wired using a relay and I can turn them on/off by the handlebar switch, or if they are on when I park up they will switch off with the ignition and then on again as the bike powers up

I'm considering replacing them with LED spots (probably Givi S322) does not include a relay in the pack

FINALLY MY QUESTION

If I simply remove the old halogen S310s lamps and leave the wiring in place can if I simply connect the LED S322s to the S310 wiring, will it work?

Many Thanks

Mike

Yes.

The LEDs draw much less amperage, so no relay normally needed, except that is how many set up switched power.

You may not need the relay as these are LEDs, but given that it's already in place, it won't hurt anything, so I would be inclined to leave it and just connect your new lamps to the existing wiring

I'm with Team Bimota. Had big halogens on the Jeep that had remote activation; no firewall penetration, or switch. Took the lamp units off, and wired the LEDs in. No change in function. . . . other than a s**t ton more light.

Highly recommend the GIVI S322 LED Fogs!
Installed them last year and so far very happy with them
as they are very well made:

They are not one of my favorite networks either.
The garage is also not "proofed" from these critters:

First time I saw one I was like "WTF is that?"
They are insane jumpers as well!
