I have one on mine, been awhile since I put it on but I didn't have any issues putting it on.

In the past (not with the ST) I had a lot of troubles with this switch, so instead to protect them I'm take it off.
Problems solved ;)

Thanks. I'm going to send it back. The mounting holes don't quite line up with the switch itself because of interference with the housing. I wonder if I have a different series switch with different shape molding or something. Anyway, Altrider customer rep has been helpful and shipped me a second one out right away, but it doesn't fit either.

I may well just remove it jumper the switch like I did on my KLR and negate the need for a cover, but I'd sure like to figure out what's not quite right.

I put one of these on my bike last summer ... August I think. I don't remember it looking like that. It fit into place just fine. One of the bolts was a pain to get at, but the design of the cover was right on. Maybe they have re-designed it. When did you get yours ??? R

Picked up my bike in Frederick, MD on the last day of August. I haven't gotten to checking on the part number yet to see if there is something new mid-year or whatever. Maybe I just got a bad casting on the switch. I could probably dremel and file away the excess metal that interferes with the fit, but I'd like to figure out the cause first. Altrider has been really helpful thus far.
