I just installed the OEM side wind deflectors (23P-F83M0-V0-00). One of the plastic screws would not screw into its grommet, so I forced it (hoping to re-thread the screw in the process) and now the two are irretrievably fused. Anyone know how to get the part numbers for these pieces? Gotta say - I hate plastic screws. They should always include a couple of spares when those are used.

Thanks.

Had the same issue and rather than going for original parts, went to the local hardware, matched it with a packet of off the shelf ones for a couple of bucks and now have spares. The wind deflectors are a great addition but I would love to know the price mark up yamaha on them.

Sounds like a plan, thanks. I'll be surprised if Home Depot stocks plastic screws, but I guess they don't have to be plastic.

::022::Very nearly had the same problem, crossed the thread on flimsy plastic screw, rescued the well nut but the screw was screwed! Popped to Yamaha dealer asked if they had any well nuts+ screws- gave me a pack of four, charged me a bout £2 /$3. most spares/ accessory suppliers will have them.

I replaced the manky plastic screws on both the side deflectors with some tasty anodised screen screws and well nuts from an online bike emporium. Look really neat and are a breeze to fit/remove as they're allen headed and come with their own key. :)
