Hi all.
I have just upgraded my 2011 S10 for a 2014 ZE model and plan on moving over the cockpit side deflectors, the front mount is different and looks like a saw is needed to cut out the plastic allowing the front mount to be attached using the 'already there' screw, can anyone confirm before I start cutting up my new ride ?

Someone did mention on here that they had to make a small cut to get the <2014 model side deflectors to fit on the 2014+ bikes. I don't recall exactly what had to be cut but I'm sure someone in the know will chime in. Tough to search for that sort of thing but you can try using a custom google search - http://www.google.com/?q=site:www.yamahasupertenere.com

Cost of a new set is pretty darn cheap. Might want to consider that and put your old ones on the for sale board.

2014 wings are a different part number and a different part. While it appears the old-style wings can be modified to fit, I suspect they might interfere with lowering the windscreen. Nothing needs too be cut or modified in any way to mount the 2014 wings.
Some dealers and online suppliers (Rockymountainatv) are shipping the old part as proper for 2014.

The deflectors from a pre14 bike will fit although you may have to be slightly creative.

I've had the screen adjustment removed on my ZE to fit my Givi AirFlow and the old deflectors were a straight fit, without any modification.

The only difficulty I think you will face is that the forward mounting point for the old deflectors uses the same mounting hole on the frame as the screen adjustment mechanism. It may be that all that is needed is a longer bolt.

Hope this helps

Mike

I have the old style deflectors on my 2014 ES with no issues and didn't have to modify anything.
Robocop, can the 14 windscreen be fully lowered with the old style side deflectors fitted? I'm considering the old type for my 14, prefer the extra mounting point of the original
