Low Drag and I went up to Guanella pass to the 4WD road and went almost to the top an back down. I jumped off a water bar and landed on a rock it dinged the Exhaust behind the skid plate by the Center stand. (Altrider Plate). Looking at a Harpo Becker skid plate it
is longer. I might have to try it. We love rocks here in Colorado, cause we have a a lot on them. Great ride.

We cut off to the west of Guanella pass road, I think it was Geneva Creek Rd.

The trail was rocky as hell and steep! I did not make it all the way up, it was steep and rocky enough for me to get into a bad line and bring the front end of the Tenere off the ground and lose control just for a bit. I got it under control by slowing which brought me to a stop and then got going again, got squirrelly and stopped again, then the bike fell to the right. Dough!

CO KLR came back down we headed out. If I had known we were 150 yards from the top I would have sucked it up and finished the grade.

It was lose and steep enough that coming down was VERY challenging even with the ABS. There were enough large lose rock that it made it very difficult. As always going up is easier.

After we made it down to Guanella pass Rd we went up and over. Wow it was busy up there! We also met a flock of pristine & clean BMWs. Then on the way down to Georgetown we ran across a flock of big horn sheep on the side of the road.

Then lunch at a one man bad place and off the Central City and back home via Golden Gate Canyon state park. It was a good day. Hot but now that I switched over to my mesh jacket I was a lot more comfortable.

Ah Geneva. We started up that road last year. Narrow and rocky... I remember passing that old couple on the ATV as I didn't want to stop on that surface... I remember we didn't make it to the top...
